What is Decision Sidekick?

Decision Sidekick is a Decision Intelligence (DI) Platform — a new category of software that combines Artificial Intelligence with human-centered decision science. Just as the industry has established categories like Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Business Intelligence (BI), and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Decision Sidekick is building the world's first Decision Intelligence platform for everyday life. It integrates AI with emotional awareness, respects human judgment, and is designed for human decision-making — helping people think more clearly, evaluate options, identify risks, recognize emotional influences, and make more confident decisions. The final decision always belongs to the user.

1. AI Ethics Protocol

The ethics rules are hardcoded directly into every AI request and cannot be bypassed by the user. The AI is constrained to be non-directive (it clarifies thinking, never commands action), non-judgmental (no shaming, pressure, or bias), non-medical and non-legal (explicitly prohibited from giving professional advice), and autonomy-preserving (the user always retains final decision-making authority).

2. In-App Ethics Disclosures

The disclaimer 'For reflection only. Not professional advice.' is shown in three visible locations on the main analysis page: below the input field, in the input view footer, and in the results view footer. Every user sees this before and after receiving any analysis.

3. Privacy Policy Commitments

Decision Sidekick never sells user data to third parties. Only necessary data is collected. AI does not train on user data. Users can delete their data at any time. No sensitive PII (government IDs, bank account numbers, health records) is collected. All commitments are explicitly stated on the Privacy Policy page.

4. Terms of Service Commitments

The Terms include a bold AI disclaimer of professional advice, user responsibility for their own decisions, prohibited conduct (abuse, impersonation, scraping), limitation of liability, and account termination with permanent data removal. The Decision Intelligence Ethics Protocol is defined as a distinct section.

5. Entity Security — Row-Level Security Audit

All five entities (Question, Analysis, CheckIn, ActionPlan, Advisor) enforce Row-Level Security at the database layer. Every record is locked to the authenticated user who created it via user_email matching. No cross-user access is possible, even with a known record ID. Admin role is the only override. The Analysis entity was audited and fixed to include the user_email field required for RLS enforcement.

6. Authentication & Account Security

Passwords are never stored in plain text — hashing is platform-managed. Session tokens auto-expire. Unauthenticated users are shown as Guest and data is not persisted. Account deletion is available from the Dashboard. Users can export their full decision history as PDF at any time.
